EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Future Infrastructure and Built Environment

The CDT in Future Infrastructure and Built Environment can offer funded studentships to excellent UK and EU students eligible for Engineering and Physical Sciences Council (EPSRC) studentship awards depending on the status of the student. Applications are reviewed and prospective students are interviewed continuously. Eligible candidates will be considered automatically if they ticked the relevant scholarship on their application. Candidates are encouraged to submit their application as soon as possible since there is a limit on the number of funded places. To be considered for Scholarship Funding, please see below and ensure your applications are in before the scholarship funding deadlines for UK, EU and international students respectively.

The EPSRC FIBE CDT studentships cover UK University fees and an annual student maintenance stipend (which is set in accordance with the national minimum stipends). In addition, the studentships include a budget for approved MRes/PhD project-specific travel costs e.g for a secondment with an Academic or Industrial Partner. Funding will normally be for four years but will be dependent upon the successful completion of the MRes programme, a PhD continuation assessment and fulfilment of first year PhD registration requirements.
