On behalf of the Centre of Doctoral Training in Future Infrastructure and Built Environment (FIBE CDT), cohort 5 would like to welcome you to our 5th annual conference. To round off five successful cohorts of FIBE1 CDT, the theme of this year's conference is taken from the CDT name; ‘Future Infrastructure and the Built Environment’. The conference will showcase the exciting research being carried out by FIBE students, and bring interested industry, policy and academic parties together. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, the event will be held online on Zoom.
We are also extremely excited to be able to round off our event with two incredible keynote speakers sharing their experiences and outlook on the future challenges faced by the built environment and the societies they form, both in the UK and across the world; Tara Gbolade holds her own design studio that focuses on sustainable building development here in the UK, and Juanita Alvarez is following the green building revolution in South and Latin America as part of the world Green Building Council.
We hope you make the most of the afternoon to discover the exciting new work being undertaken by the students of the CDT and the keynote speakers, and connect with like-minded counterparts from industry and academia alike.
